Earthquake rant.

Because of the recent earthquake in turkey, i’ve been searching for images of it. What i’ve discovered is how the power of nature influences human forms. We have no power to keep nature from knocking a building down. We worked so hard for so many thousands of years to understand how to keep it up! Nature is a wake up call for us humans. Nature says “get on my level” and doesnt give a fuck what country you’re from, what race you are, if you’re human or not. Its really quite wonderful. I think we need some more of that mindset in our world. It is tragic what happens when natural disaster strikes and takes the lives of, from what we understand, over a thousand people in the recent earthquake in Turkey. But you have to admit, the landscapes that nature makes out of our cities is remarkable.

Composition Sketches.

I'm trying to utilize cropping and putting boundaries on my drawings and collages. Its actually making me want to work extremely small. We'll see how it goes. These are just some compositional studies I made today while walking around the city. With some revisions, I think these could easily become collage transfer pieces.
