I'm trying some new things in these pieces. My Dad has always told me that when you're limited you get creative. I'm trying to use that logic to push my practice forward. Giving myself constraints while working makes my hands solve problems differently. Its refreshing to see myself face the same problems I had conquered a few months ago. These pieces are going to be a part of my Fall 2011 BFA Exhibition at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) starting October 14th. I'm getting everything ready for them to be displayed. I'm tackling problems of presentation that I have not had to worry about before. Its a good challenge. How do you show a large collection of small images that are meant to be seen one at a time? This is the biggest problem I'm facing. I think spacing is key when solving this problem. We'll see how it goes. Let me know what you think of these new collages. Any piece of information helps.
